Forum Rules

General Rules


  1. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters

  2. Un-Filtered swearing on the public forum is not allowed. A swear filter is in use on the forum; While we accept the occasional filtered swear word in forum posts, excessive use of swearing is not allowed. Using alternate spelling or characters to get around the swear filter is not allowed.

  3. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.

  4. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.

  5. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.

  6. We do not allow posts that are excessively sexual in nature or violate the community standards. The moderator team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

  7. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Subsequent accounts will be deleted.

  8. Constructive comparative conversations about other forums are welcome but we will not tolerate blatant advertising threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from bashing of other forums.

  9. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

  10. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.

  11. Swearing on the public forum is not approved of. A swear filter is in use on the forum, however using alternate spelling or characters to get around this is not allowed.

  12. Before you post, please ask yourself the following question: "Am I making a post which is either funny, informative, or interesting on any level?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please post. If you cannot, then refrain from posting.

  13. Before you reply, please ask yourself the following question: "Does my reply offer any significant advice or help contribute to the conversation in any fashion?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please reply. If you cannot, then refrain from replying.

  14. Donít use txt spk. a forum post is nt a mbl fone msg.

  15. As a ZSOC member, your actions away from the forum reflect on the club itself. If you act in an illegal manner or do anything that may bring the club into disrepute, you risk being permanently banned

  16. All Zetec-S's are awesome; threads which dispute this obvious fact will be closed.

  17. If the moderating team do not feel your post contributes to a discussion in any way, they will remove it.


Signatures

Signatures and avatars are available to all forum users once you have been registered for over 30 days and have submitted over 50 posts.




  1. Signatures shall not exceed 500 pixels by 150 pixels

  2. Signatures and/or avatars may not contain references to sex, drugs or illegal activities.

  3. Signatures or avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed, these include taking the official forum user icons and editing them.

  4. The moderating team will be the sole arbitrator of what signatures and avatars violate community standards.

  5. Animated avatars are not allowed.

  6. The moderating team reserves the right to remove signatures, avatars and the rights to have these without notification.


Avatars


  1. Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed, these include taking the official forum user icons and editing them.
  2. The moderating team will be the sole arbitrator of what avatars violate community standards.
  3. Animated avatars are not allowed.


Advertising / Selling / Wanted

We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitating in signatures is also prohibited without express permission from the site owners.

If you wish to create a thread directing traffic to your own website or forum then please ask permission from one of the club staff prior to posting a thread. We see this as a reasonable thing to ask, not doing this may see your thread deleted.


  1. Only full members are allowed to post for sale or wanted threads. Anyone creates a thread who is not a member will have their thread deleted. This includes using signatures to advertise.

  2. Registered users can post within for sale and wanted threads, however their posts will be moderated before shown within the thread.

  3. Threads made by members for non-members or banned users will be deleted.

  4. Advertising of products, services, and websites in any form is not allowed unless you have received permission from the Club Staff.

  5. Any transaction that takes place on the forum is done so at each individuals risk. The Club has no part of these transactions, though any issues will be monitored by the moderating team when informed.


Feedback

When leaving feedback, there are a couple of things to remember...

1. You must provide a link to a thread in the marketplace.
2. Either you or the person you are leaving feedback for must be the creator of the thread you link to.
3. Staff review all negative feedback.


Posting Guidelines


  1. Before you post, please ask yourself the following question: "Am I making a post which is either funny, informative, or interesting on any level?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please post. If you cannot, then refrain from posting.

  2. Before you reply, please ask yourself the following question: "Does my reply offer any significant advice or help contribute to the conversation in any fashion?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please reply. If you cannot, then refrain from replying.


If the moderating team do not feel your post contributes to a discussion in any way, they will remove it.


Account Inactivity

Accounts inactive for longer than a year may be deactivated.


Image/File Rules

Keep all images work-safe. If you feel the need to post any pornographic or disgusting images, do it in NSFW.

Please do not post any illegal (child porn, bestiality) images or else you will be banned. As a general rule, ask yourself "would my mother and boss be comfortable viewing this image?" when posting outside of NSFW.

Image size and linking. Keep all images smaller than 800 pixels horizontal and 600 pixels vertical. Make sure all images are hosted on your own webspace. We do not approve of bandwidth leeching and forcing other people to pay for your images.

No warez. No warez, no cracks, no CD codes, no illegal programs that are used to either crack software or perform any malicious activity. Don't post links, ask for links to download, or otherwise discuss illegal copies of copyrighted works, including movies, books, software, etc. 45-second "sampler" mp3 files are acceptable, within context. ROMs are only allowed if they are out-of-print and unavailable for purchase.

Your sig file and you. Keep in mind that everybody on the forums has to see your sig file over and over every time you post. Please make your sig file under 30k in size with less than three lines of text. Do not use images larger than 500 pixels wide and 150 pixels high.

Images / Gifs that are linked from other sites which contain swear words within the Image / Gif are not allowed.


Bans and Infractions

Failing to adhere to these rules may result in the moderating team issuing infractions on users. The moderating team can also issue infractions for other reasons where they see fit. Infractions do not disappear and once a certain tally is met, the following applies:




  • 3 infractions - 1 week ban from the forums

  • 2nd ban due to infractions - 2 weeks ban from forums

  • 3rd ban due to infractions - 1 month ban from forums

  • 4th ban due to infractions - Permanent ban from forums




  1. Bans vary in length and can be issued by the moderating team for varying reasons.

  2. Registering another account whilst banned will lead to a permanent ban being issued.

  3. The moderating team reserves the right to issue infractions and/or bans with out notice, as well as altering the severity of these.

  4. We reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums are a privilege and not a right. A banned member forfeits their membership. Membership fees will not be reimbursed.


This Place Sounds Like a Ripoff!

If you would like to inquire about a particular mod or admin action, we welcome any PM's with questions. Please be civil, explain your point, and detail your opinion on it. You may question any mod or admin you like as long as you are not rude about it.

If you do not agree with these rules, please do not become a member. If you are not sure about becoming a club member, please do not become one. The only people we want to register accounts are those who really want to be here and will respect the rules and other forum members.

Whilst these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
